1. Project Introduction
Arbitrum is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution built by the Offchain Labs team, utilizing Optimistic Rollup technology. Arbitrum facilitates communication between L1 and L2, allowing Ethereum assets to be transferred trustlessly between layers. Although transactions are settled on Ethereum, only the original transaction data is submitted to the mainnet, with execution and contract storage occurring off-chain. This results in significantly lower gas fees compared to the mainnet, while retaining full contract compatibility without gas limits.

In April 2021, they raised $20 million in a Series A, followed by a $120 million Series B at a $1.2 billion valuation led by Lightspeed Venture Partners in August 2021.
