I. Project Introduction

1. What Is GUNZ?

GUNZ is a Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for AAA Web3 games, developed by Gunzilla Games. It provides a customized service for a comprehensive gaming ecosystem, catering to the needs of both developers and players. Initially created to support the community-driven economy of Gunzilla's flagship game Off The Grid (OTG), it has now evolved into a fully functional platform that offers blockchain-native infrastructure essential for modern game development.

2. How Does GUNZ Work?

Gunzilla Games has developed the Layer 1 blockchain GUNZ, games like Off The Grid and TECHNOCORE, GUNZ Wallet, and other products.

1) GUNZ Blockchain: GUNZ is an independent, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain. It adopts Avalanche's mature subnet consensus protocol (Snowman) but uses a permissioned model to deploy smart contracts, allowing only authorized addresses to deploy code. GUNZ is designed for high-performance use cases, seamlessly supporting Solidity-based smart contracts and fully compatible with Ethereum tools used by authorized entities. It offers high throughput and low latency, with theoretical throughput exceeding 4,500 transactions per second (TPS), making it suitable for high-demand applications such as advanced games.

2) Off The Grid: It is a cyberpunk, free-to-play battle royale game with optional NFT elements, set in a dystopian future world on an island called Teardrop. In this world, players fight for survival, with participants turning into "human sticks," losing their limbs and replacing them with advanced cybernetic limbs for combat. The gameplay involves 150-player PvP and 60 hours of PvE. The crypto elements in OTG are optional components within the game.

3) TECHNOCORE: In the game, users can hack drones and navigate through a massive seawater desalination plant.

4) The GUNZ Wallet has been launched.

3. Who Founded GUNZ?

GUNZ was developed by the independent game studio Gunzilla Games. The team includes industry veterans who previously worked on renowned games like Far Cry and Crysis.

1) Vlad Korolev: Co-founder and CEO of Gunzilla Games. He is also the co-founder of PLINK, co-founder of Gamegroove Capital and founding board member of SONUS. Besides, he previously served as the co-founder and CTO of PAYMO, and deputy commercial director of CYBERPLAT.COM.

2) Timur Davidenko: CTO of Gunzilla Games. He is a board member of GAMEGROOVE Capital, CTO of SONUS, and former technical director of CryEngine at Crytek. He graduated from Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI). He served as the Technical Director at Crytek, the developer of the Crysis series and Far Cry for 18 years.

3) Mykhailo Tiutin: Chief Blockchain Architect at Gunzilla Games, co-founder and CTO of PureFi.

4. GUNZ Tokenomics

Total supply of GUNZ: 10 billion tokens. Token allocation is as follows:

Funding: According to public information, the developer behind GUNZ, Gunzilla Games, has raised around $76 million in funding.

- April 12, 2025: Crypto venture capital firm 1kx announced a strategic investment in Gunzilla Games, the developer of the dystopian cyberpunk shooter Off The Grid, though the specific amount was not disclosed.

- November 1, 2024: VanEck announced an investment in Web3 gaming company Gunzilla.

- September 2024: Piers Kicks, founding partner of Delphi Ventures, announced the largest investment in Gunzilla Games to date.

- March 2024: Gunzilla Games, the developer of Off The Grid, completed a $30 million funding round, led by CoinFund and Avalanche Blizzard Fund, with Republic Capital and Morningstar Ventures participating.

- August 2022: Gunzilla Games announced the completion of a $46 million funding round, led by Republic Capital, with participation from Griffin Gaming Partners, Animoca Brands, Jump Crypto, Raptor Group, CoinFund, Shima Capital, Dominance Ventures, GSR, KuCoin Labs, Spartan Investment Group, AlphaCrypto Capital, Blizzard, Digital Strategies, Morningstar Ventures, Gamegroove Capital, NGG, and Huobi Group. 5. Token Utility

$GUN is the universal in-game currency for all first-party games, including the current flagship game Off The Grid (OTG), and supports all in-game transactions. It is used for paying gas fees within the GUNZ ecosystem. $GUN fuels Validator NFTs, enabling them to perform their roles. In future updates, Validator NFTs will be upgraded to earn rewards across multiple games within the GUNZ ecosystem. Hardware validators will receive $GUN tokens as rewards for validating on-chain transactions.​
