1. What Is Vision?

Vision (VSN) is the native token of the Bitpanda Web3 ecosystem. It was officially launched on July  16, 2025, and is the outcome of the merger of Bitpanda’s two prior tokens — BEST (Bitpanda Ecosystem Token, offering trading-fee discounts, staking rewards and VIP tiers) and PAN (Pantos, focused on blockchain interoperability). VSN will support on-chain activity across Bitpanda’s DeFi wallet, Layer-2 infrastructure (Vision Chain), the Launchpad and interoperability protocol. Through staking rewards, fee discounts, governance and early access to vetted token launches, it unlocks genuine utility. Bitpanda, founded in 2014, is a European digital-asset platform providing a user-friendly interface for ordinary users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, indices, precious metals (such as gold and silver) and other digital assets. Bitpanda is a regulated crypto-asset platform in Europe. It holds a MiCA license from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), a MiCA licence from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and a MiCAR licence from the Austrian FMA,  is approved by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and holds a broker licence from Dubai’s VARA, among others.

2. How Does Vision Work?

Vision (VSN) is the native token in the Bitpanda Web3 ecosystem. Core products and functionalities of the Bitpanda ecosystem include:

1) Bitpanda DeFi Wallet: Stake VSN and participate in on-chain governance; use VSN to pay transaction/exchange fees and enjoy a 20% fee discount; in-app loyalty features: task/experience multipliers and Spotlight giveaways (via the loyalty programme).

2) Vision Protocol: Fees generated by the protocol are used to buy back (and burn) VSN, thereby indirectly increasing value for token holders and stakers.

3) Vision Chain (Layer 2): Governance functions on Vision Chain are enabled by VSN (holders may vote on issuance/burn parameters, etc.). On-chain fee income is used to fund VSN buy-backs and issuance.

4) Bitpanda Launchpad: Staking VSN unlocks early access rights and new listing privileges. Part of the Launchpad revenue is used to purchase and burn VSN.

5) Bitpanda (broker/trading platform): Paying transaction fees in VSN gives a 20% discount; a portion of fee income flows to the foundation to support buy-backs, issuance, liquidity and rewards.

6) Entire ecosystem (Vision Web3 Foundation): Fees collected via the wallet, protocol, launchpad, chain (and Bitpanda) flow into the foundation, which uses them for buy-backs and burns, staking rewards/issuance, liquidity and grants. Governance may adjust issuance quarterly.

3. Who Founded Vision?

1) Fabian Reinisch: Chairman of the board at the Vision Web3 Foundation; General Counsel at Bitpanda; Advisor at LeadBlock Bitpanda Ventures; Advisor at Talentir; formerly trainee lawyer and legal specialist at EY Law Pelzmann Gall Rechtsanwälte GmbH. He  holds an LL.M. (Master of Laws) from the University of Vienna.

2) Bernadette Leuzinger: Board member of the Vision Web3 Foundation; formerly COO & CFO at Crypto Finance AG and Crypto Fund AG.

3) Hans Kuhn: Board member of the Vision Web3 Foundation; Partner at Lawside Attorneys-at-law LLC; Board member at SEBA Bank; Partner at Dalaw; formerly Partner at Wicki Partners Ltd., Co-founder of YAPEAL; and previously General Counsel at the Swiss National Bank.

4. Vision Tokenomics

The initial total supply will be 4.2 billion VSN tokens and a dynamic issuance model will apply with possible buy-backs and burns.

Issuance: Each quarter new VSN tokens are issued to active stakers. For the first year the baseline issuance is 5% of the total supply (approximately 210 million VSN tokens), and the issuance rate may be increased, reduced or maintained by governance each quarter.

Buy-back & burn: The foundation may use ecosystem revenue to buy back and burn VSN to reduce the supply.

5. Token Utility

VSN is the unified token of the Bitpanda Web3 ecosystem. It brings together and incentivises users and stakeholders across the wallet, protocol, blockchain and launchpad, enabling on-chain rewards, governance and participation. 1> On-chain utility: Staking: Holders may stake VSN to earn protocol rewards. Governance: Holders vote on key parameters (such as issuance and burn rates, incentive allocation) and enable governance functions on Vision Chain. 2> Ecosystem value capture and use of revenue: Fee income from Bitpanda, the DeFi wallet (swaps/yields), Vision Protocol, Launchpad and Vision Chain flows into the Vision Web3 Foundation. These funds can be used for buy-backs and burns. 3> Loyalty-related benefits (these are managed by the programme, not inherent to the token): Examples include: VSN is used to pay transaction fees at a 20% discount; stakers enjoy early access to the Launchpad, Spotlight giveaways, task/airdrop experience point multipliers, and fast-track access to the Bitpanda Club.​
