I. Project Introduction

1. What Is Bitway?

Bitway is an internet capital gateway that bridges on-chain capital with global opportunities. It features two core products: Bitway Earn, an on-chain wealth management platform, and Bitway Chain, a Bitcoin-compatible PoS Layer 1 blockchain.

2. How Does Bitway Operate?

Key products are as follows:

(1) Bitway Earn: Enable anyone to access institutional-level profit opportunities anytime, anywhere. Through audited staking vaults deployed on BNB Chain and other supported networks, users can deposit digital assets to participate in diversified, risk-managed strategies executed by the Bitway Strategy Layer.

(2) Bitway Ledger: A purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain and a fully Bitcoin-compatible application chain. It leverages the Cosmos-SDK and CometBFT—a high-performance consensus engine—as its core architecture to ensure scalability and interoperability.

(3) Bitway Lending: Natively integrated into Bitway Ledger and powered by Discreet Log Contracts (DLCs), this platform enables native BTC-collateralized loans. The system incorporates decentralized oracles, permissionless liquidity pools, and automated liquidation functions to ensure a robust lending environment.

(4) BTCT: A native component of Bitway Ledger, BTCT is a Bitcoin bridge operated by validators and built on FROST technology. It supports gasless BTC transfers and enables key rotation to update signer sets without altering vaults, allowing for seamless, automated cross-chain liquidity routing.

3. Who Created Bitway?

Shane Qiu, Co-Founder & CEO: Formerly a Researcher at Binance Labs and Head of Growth at Nym. Shane is also an active angel investor who has contributed to numerous high-impact projects. At Side Labs, he oversees product design, research, operations, and marketing. He holds degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Simon Fraser University.

Dave Hrycyszyn, Co-Founder & CTO: A veteran technical leader, Dave previously served as Co-Founder and CTO of Nym Technologies SA. His extensive background includes roles as Technical Project Manager for Facebook’s Libra, Co-Founder and CTO of Chainspace, and Advisor to Vega Protocol. He also served as Technical Director at Zone Group and Co-Founder/CTO of Head London.

Funding Details:

- Jan 21, 2026: Bitway announced the completion of a $4.444 million Seed round led by TRON DAO, with participation from HTX Ventures and others.

- Aug 26, 2025: Bitway, a commercial blockchain for Bitcoin, secured a strategic investment from YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) and completed the inaugural EASY Residency incubator program.

- Jul 21, 2023: Side Labs, the parent company of Side Protocol, closed a $1.5 million Pre-Seed round. Investors included Hashkey Capital, KR1, Continue Capital, Symbolic Capital, Informal Systems, Dora Ventures, Charles Lu, Harry Halpin, Eric Chen, Mirza Uddin, Siddhartha Dutta, and Vincent Niu.

The total supply of $BTW tokens is 100 billion.

5. Token Utility

$BTW is the native utility and governance token of the Bitway ecosystem. Its primary functions include:

(1) Exclusive Access: $BTW holders may stake their tokens to gain access to exclusive Bitway products and opportunities.

(2) Enhanced Rewards & Fee Discounts: By staking $BTW, users can unlock superior rewards and preferential terms across the entire Bitway product suite. These benefits include higher yields on earning products, as well as fee discounts or improved conditions for financing and other on-chain services, subject to specific project rules.

(3) Ecosystem Coordination: $BTW is designed to synchronize all incentive mechanisms within the Bitway ecosystem. It is utilized for partner rewards, liquidity incentives, and ecosystem participation to drive user adoption and support sustainable, long-term network growth.

(4) Governance: Token holders may vote on protocol upgrades, economic parameters, treasury allocations, and the long-term strategic direction of the Bitway ecosystem.

(5) Staking & Delegation: $BTW is fundamental to securing the Bitway Ledger. Validators stake $BTW to participate in consensus, while delegators earn rewards for contributing to network security. Additionally, $BTW serves as the native gas token for all on-chain transactions and operations within the Bitway Ledger.​
