1. Project Introduction
Waves is a decentralized, community-driven, open-source public blockchain designed for scalable and user-friendly application development. It avoids gas fees and uses a non-Turing complete smart contract language called Ride, which ensures predictability and safety. Waves employs a Proof-of-Stake consensus model, where block generation opportunities are proportionate to participants' economic stake, reducing incentives for malicious actors. Users can lease WAVES to validator nodes and earn rewards while maintaining full control of their assets. The ecosystem includes DEXs, wallets, DeFi apps, games, and NFTs.
